POST AGM Message from the Chairman

AirmanDear members of the Raleigh Golf Society

I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to take a moment to extend my sincerest gratitude to each and every one of you who attended our Annual General Meeting (AGM) on the 8 Mar 24 at Borringdon Golf Club. Your presence and participation are truly appreciated as we continue the societies traditions and ethos.

First and foremost, I would like to extend my apologies to those who diligently prepared pitches for the Ministry of Defence (MOD) and ex-serving representative positions. A proposal was made that these roles are not required due to being “One” society and the divide was not required. We understand that this is not best practice to approve such decision at the AGM without being an agenda item. However, we feel this was an appropriate decision to support future society business. Your voluntary support and commitment to enhancing or societies relationships and opportunities have not gone unnoticed.

I also want to take this opportunity to express our heartfelt appreciation to all members for the continued support shown to the committee. Your trust, input, and dedication are invaluable as we navigate the various endeavours and decisions that lie ahead. We are a society where all members have a voice in the collective decision for the future of our society.

Looking ahead, we have an exciting events calendar on the horizon – next competition at Lanhydrock Golf Club. I encourage all members to mark their calendars and join us for what promises to be a fantastic day of camaraderie and competition on the course. Let’s continue to showcase the spirit of our society in the way we always do!

Once again thank you for your dedication, understanding, and commitment to Raleigh Golf Society. Your ongoing involvement ensures that we stay relevant and responsive to the needs of our members. Your contributions make all the difference.

Many thanks

Jordan
